A certificate valid ten years, from age sixteen
The hunting certificate attests the ability to hunt; it lasts ten years and is issued from sixteen after training and a theory exam.
The hunting certificate is the document certifying a natural person's ability to hunt. It may be issued to someone who is at least sixteen, has undergone training in the field of hunting and has passed a hunting theory examination. The act provides a useful variant: if an applicant does not wish to use hunting firearms, a corresponding notation is made on the certificate and no shooting test is required. The certificate is valid for ten years. It is not issued to a person deprived of hunting rights as punishment while the record of that punishment has not been expunged, nor to someone who does not meet the training and examination conditions. Validity may be suspended for up to three years, notably where a decision depriving the holder of hunting rights takes effect or where they have been punished for one of the offences the act lists; the certificate must then be handed to the issuing authority. It is revoked if obtained by fraudulent means or issued on the basis of a falsified or false document.
