This page sets out exactly which data Huntalis processes, which stay on your device, and to whom they are sent. It is written from how the application actually works, not from a template.
Who is responsible
The controller is the operator of Huntalis, whose identity and registered office appear at the foot of this page and on the Contact page. For any question about data, write to the data protection address given under “Your rights”.
What never leaves your phone
The hunting log — species, weight, canton, place, notes and photographs — the document wallet, your position, the canton you follow, your favourites and your chosen language are stored on the device alone. These data are neither sent to our servers nor backed up elsewhere by us. Exporting the log produces an archive that only you move.
What the server records
If you create an account: your name and email address as passed by Google at sign-in, the technical identifier Google assigns, your account language, and the access tokens for the programming interface. If you subscribe: the package name, the product identifier, the subscription status, its start and expiry dates, whether it auto-renews, and a hash of the Google Play purchase token. An audit log additionally keeps the event, the request identifier, the timestamp and the IP address, for security purposes.
What the application calls
The application calls four services: the Huntalis interface for the regulatory corpus, MeteoSwiss open data for readings from the nearest station, swisstopo and geo.admin.ch for the base map and federal zones, and huntalis.com for the potential layer. Those calls send what the request needs — a map extent or a station, not your identity.
No advertising, no analytics
Huntalis embeds no advertising network, no tracker and no analytics tool, neither in the application nor on this site. Your data are not sold, rented, or passed on for commercial purposes.
Processors and transfers
Google is involved in two capacities: Google Sign-In for authentication and Google Play for billing, both under its own terms. The site is hosted by Infomaniak in Switzerland; the application service runs on Swiss infrastructure. No account data are transferred outside that frame.
Retention
Account data are kept while the account exists, then erased within thirty days of a deletion request. Subscription data subject to accounting obligations are kept for the statutory period. Audit log entries are kept for twelve months.
Your rights
You may request access to your data, their correction or erasure, restriction of or objection to processing, and receive your account data in a readable format. Write from the address linked to your account; the request is acknowledged within seven days. Account deletion can also be requested straight from the page provided for it.
Changes
Any change to this policy is published on this page, with the update date shown above. Substantial changes are announced in the application before they take effect.
