Hunting card, written permission, and a firearms licence

Three separate documents: the Federation’s card, the hunting-right holder’s written permission, and the firearms licence.

Article 67 stacks three conditions. A hunter may hunt game if they carry a valid hunting card and written permission issued in advance by the holder of the hunting right. They may shoot game if, in addition, they carry a valid firearms licence for holding and carrying weapons for hunting purposes. Moving through a hunting ground with a weapon without carrying that written permission is forbidden. The hunting card is issued by the Croatian Hunting Association (HLS). It may only go to someone who has passed the hunting examination and reached the age of seventeen years and six months. For card holders under eighteen, the hunting-right holder's written permission may only be issued with the written consent of a parent or guardian. The minister sets by ordinance the conditions and manner of hunting, the carrying of the hunting firearm, the form of the hunting card and how it is issued, the hunting permission form, and the keeping of the record of hunts carried out.
